A Call To Established Bloggers – Lets Partner Together

Pro Blogger Collaboration…
Build The Best Blogging Tips Newsletter Available

Since recently re-opening Hot Blog Tips, I’ve been frequenting a lot of great blogs with a lot to offer. A big part of this blog will be the newsletter where we will offer subscribers quality blog tips, ideas and resources. You can be part if this online publication.

As far as I know this will be the first newsletter of its kind. I’ve been blogging since blogging started but I’m not crazy enough to think I have all the answers, not even close.

I’m looking for about a dozen professional bloggers that would like to partner with me on a collaborated newsletter. By that I mean a multi-author newsletter. I feel this is the best way to provide subscribers with the best possible blogging tips available.

What The Hot Blog Tips Newsletter Will Be:

The Hot Blog Tips Newsletter will be a collection of short blog tips by top experts in the field – that’s you. We’ll start out with a weekly publication and go from there. A subscriber will be able to open the email and scan through the tips and see nothing but quality and relevant content. This will truly be something they will want to recommend to their blogging buddies. The newsletter will start as a free subscription and will remain free. I have no intention of charging a fee once it takes off. It will be delivered by AWeber, where I’ve had an account for years.

What The Hot Blog Tips Newsletter Will NOT Be:

The newsletter will not be an ezine full of advertisements and ad copy. It won’t be like those outdated solo ads and it won’t be long articles that no one has time to read or absorb. It will not be promoted to a bunch of subscribers with no real interest in the content. It won’t be a promo just to get subscribers to our latest blog posts.

Who Is Invited?

I know there are some great bloggers out there with a lot to offer but, for right now, I’m looking for established bloggers that:

  1. Already have a popular blog
  2. That already has a list.
  3. That are willing to submit at least one great blogging tip every week.
  4. That are willing to help promote the newsletter.
With that said, there will be opportunities for non-partners to submit their tips as well.

What Is In It For The Newsletter Partners:

I said this won’t be an ezine full of ads but affiliate and blog links are welcome. The subscriber should be able to visit the author’s site from a tip they like. I’m not saying partners only get a small author bio like an article submission site, authors will have the flexibility to add relevant links in the content as needed. This will help build traffic to your site and revenue from your promoted links.

You will get your own section of the newsletter each week. You will be able to promote your blog, eBook, product or even your newsletter to the list. This will significantly add to your email marketing exposure without starting another list as it will be completely independent of your other list/s.

What Will Be Involved On Your Part?

Each partner will submit a short high quality blogging tip, one or two paragraphs, each week. These blogging tips could be on content, SEO, marketing a blog, WordPress tips, tips on plugins, feed and list building or anything at all that will help the thousands of bloggers that are trying to improve their blogs.

This is a new project and you will need to help promote it so it can build quickly and everyone can benefit as fast as possible. You can promote it to your lists, blog about it, display a banner, tweet it ect., anything and everything that will help everyone involved benefit as quickly as possible, including the subscribers.

I’ll send out a reminder each week to keep up the momentum but I will not be nagging and chasing you around.

Tip Example: Here’s an example from one of Mike Filsaime‘s newsletters back in 2005 (He gets paid for his newsletter now) :

QuoteAfter someone opts in to your list. Why have a DEAD REAL ESTATE page that says “Thanks for subscribing, click your browsers back button.”

QuoteWhy not offer them one of your older ebooks for $19 just this one time instead of $47 that they may never buy. Or why not offer them an affiliate link for a related product. You already have the opt in right?

On these type of tips you could have a link to a page or product. For example, when he offered a tip of using the 404 Error pages as a place to promote a product or gain subscribers he had a product that helped you do just that.

How To Get Started:

  1. What a great idea Brian. I would offer my services but I have a bit too much on my plate at the moment. What I can do though is give this post a Tweet in the hope that some of my followers can help you out.

  2. Blog? Is that what they call low hanging clouds over a bog?

I figured you would have people lined up to get in on a news letter. Hell, it’s practically free advertising for just a few minutes of work a week.

I think all of my “blogging tips” are older than dirt. I haven’t even posted on my personal blog since February. But, the Fuzzy site is ran on a blog platform but it isn’t exactly used as a blog but not sure what you would call it. So, maybe I still kind of blog but not really?

Damn, now you have me over thinking things!

    • Hi Sheryl, I had a couple of emails so far but not what I was expecting. Out of the two that emailed me one didn’t have a list and the other’s blog was 100% excerpt & link (spam) to other people’s content. I’ll start inviting people personally today, that’s what I should have done to begin with.

  3. Hey Brian,

Not a bad idea. I don’t have a list either, but you know I have the content and the ideas. I wouldn’t mind participating, but I need a week as I’m dealing with some things in my personal life this week.
