I am writing this post to inform you of a new forum that just started over on Blogger Luv. The Blogger Luv Community is a brand new forum exclusively for bloggers. Yes is it do-follow friendly so by participating you can get links back to your site.
I frequent several webmaster type forums, and usually they are full of spammers and junk, we hope to keep that from happening on this forum by moderating links and posts. I hope to see this turn into a place that builds a community based on bloggers wanting to learn and help other members.
There are a few members already, and a couple of topics going too. Make sure to upload your Gravatar and set up your signature with link(s) to your site(s).
I was asked to be a moderator on this forum, so I want to let you know there will be a couple of rules. Mainly, no spamming, no unfriendly links (adult sites etc…) and that is about it.
Please head over and get signed up, start a thread, introduce yourself, and see if we can get something going that actually helps bloggers in all niches.
No, there is no charge to join either!

Well this is super. I know that more and more folks are opening up the do follow avenue as a way of driving traffic to their sites, and it is working.
ToysPeriod is a do follow. However, just like any quality site, a person needs to leave a good quality comment in order to be accepted. Nothing like, “That’s Great!” or “Good Story!” is sufficient. One has to actually read the story of the week and make a thoughtful comment.
But, when one does that, one enjoys a good link from a highly regarded site.
I am not the web master, but I know him, and he is a genuinely nice fellow without a mean bone in his body.

I joined Blogger Luv a few days ago and I believe it’s a community well on it’s way because members make the forum and there’s already good participation. Blogger Luv just needs a little promoting just like you’re doing here. I think I’m going to post one too.

Sure, start a “blog network” like Creative Weblogging or many others. Link to each other because it makes sense since you are a blog network and enjoy the boost in rankings.

@Olusegun, Ya, I am testing different looks with Thesis, trying to find the one I like the best. I am down to three looks, all white, all tan, or white page with black background. What do you think?

I’ll sign up soon. Good luck with keeping spammers at bay. Do you have some good hacks for that? I’m thinking VB-like hacks where you can limit links in post and signature for people with over X posts. I think it may be crucial.
Why not go with Vbuletin btw? EZportal is a free forum software, right? If it’s a question of buying VB, I’d be happy to donate a license.

It’s amazing how Google has managed to totally change the meaning of linking in that people who link like the old days are forced to hobble in forums on the margins of the Internet like pariahs.

I think the black and white background will do it. It is not as common as tan and white.
But i preferred the white one you had earlier to this.
