Hot Blog Tips is now accepting well-written guest blog submissions relevant to blogging. Up until now, we have only accepted blog posts from a couple of bloggers and we feel that the time is right to allow new perspectives and insights from other bloggers. We will continue to be very selective in the content allowed on this site.

While this is a blog on blogging tips, to be very frank, posts like “Five Tips On Generating Traffic” or “Ten Ways To Get Backlinks” are a dime a dozen (Those titles were off the top of my head and weren’t meant to slam any other blog post). We are not looking for plain, generic-feeling blog tips that are plastered all over the net and could have been written by anyone with two weeks of blogging experience. We are looking for quality blogging tips and ideas that offer real solutions for our readers. Take a look around our blog to see what we’re referring to. Each post is written on a personal level with character and real value.

I will try to update this section on a regular basis. Every now and then I discover a blogging topic that I’d love to feature on Hot Blog Tips where I simply do not have the time or expertise required. I will list those topics below but blog post submissions should not be limited to these requested topics or categories.

Basic Requirements

• The post must be well-written, grammatically correct with proper sentence structure and written in good English. I aint accepting no broke english and badly spelleded words!
• Guest bloggers are expected to interact and reply to the blog post’s comments when appropriate for at least a week or two after being published.
• Guest post bloggers should have their own avatar registered with Gravatar.com Please provide the email that is linked to the appropriate avatar when you (or so we can) setup your account. Here’s a helpful tutorial video by Cat Alexandra if you’re new to Gravatar.
  

External links: Many blogs restrict the number of links that can be included in guest posts. I am a lot more flexible than that and just want links limited to those that add value for the readers of that particular post. If you mention website or product, link to them.

Affiliate links: We’re all here to make money but I will have to restrict the use of affiliate links to only well-established guest bloggers for this site. General blog post submissions (Option two below) should refrain from using affiliate links or blatant advertising, at least until we have developed an editorial relationship with you.

Post Size: Guest posts should be between 300 and 1,100 words. Anything more than that would probably be better if broken into a post series, which are welcome.

We have two options for guest posting.

Option one: For experienced WordPress bloggers that I know, we can setup a contributor account so you can create and format your guest posts. I have guidelines available (see below) to help in your post. Contact us for contributor account. Included your preferred username, your Gravatar linked email address, and your website. You will be able to update your profile once we send the log-in details. See Publishing Guidelines for Author Accounts.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have been flooded with Contributor registrations (spam). Therefore I have disabled the open registration form and experienced WordPress bloggers must request an account through our contact page.

Option two: For those that would like to submit guest posts that we have not yet established author relationships with yet, you may submit original content related to blogging via our contact page or email them to . See Publishing Guidelines for Guest Post Submissions.

Important: We completely understand the need to promote niche businesses and websites but this is a blogging tips website. Please do not submit unrelated content, private label content or articles published on other sites/blogs, whether by you or not.

Guest Post Basic Terms:

Original and unique content only: Every blog post submitted must be written exclusively for HotBlogTips.com and not published anywhere else. Every guest post submission will be checked against Copyscape^©. We do not accept content used in article marketing, private label content or spun articles. If we find that the same article has been published elsewhere, other than low life scraper sites, we reserve the right to delete or edit the post and your name & links will be removed.

No direct download links: If you need to include a download link, please link to a landing page where the download link is located.

Editing: We reserve the right to edit your submission for content, length, format, grammar, readability, keywords and overall aesthetics. If the post requires too much in the form of editing, the post will be rejected.
