Building your YouTube video views takes work, just as it took work to build your blog views. You need to set a little bit of time aside each day to watch and comment on other channels videos.
I know you are going to say that you do not have time for that. Well, if you get yourself organized, it really doesn’t take to much time at all. But, if you are logging in, using keywords to find videos in your niche, then looking through all those videos in the search to find new uploads or at least active ones…you’re right, you don’t have time for that.
Heck, I learned really quickly that doing things in such a hap hazard way was not going to work. I would have spent an hour just looking for decent videos. So, I had to get organized and streamline my work.
The Video
In this Hangouts on Air, I talk with Brian and Mitch about how they can streamline their work to get niche videos delivered right to them. In fact, if you take the time being a little picky, you don’t have do any searching or wading through unwanted videos.
We also talk about the difference in giving a video a “Like” or leaving a comment.
Hopefully you have already read and watched the very short video on Social Share Settings on YouTube and now you will see step 2 of 3 for building YouTube views more efficiently.

Hi GK, there’s always room for more videos. ;-}
I think video is here to stay.

Hi Carl, when you are a famous Youtuber…don’t forget us little people.
Thanks for the tips and video . As always you Rock!
Thanks for stopping in Evan, we hope our video tips help.
Great tips, thanks for sharing Sheryl. I don’t spend near enough time watching other people’s videos and then commenting. I may share the odd video here and there, but they tend to be music videos (although I will confess to sharing a Harlem Shale video or two this last week).

Hi Sarah! I had a really hard time finding video and commenting until I started narrowing my focus and now it doesn’t take much time at all.
No one can fault you for sharing Harlem Shake videos…some of those are so funny.
I created about 3 videos so for YouTube, but man, I don’t have time to promote them on the site!
For me, YouTube is a huge distraction when it comes to browsing for videos.
I would love to get some engagement going on there for me.
What are your thoughts? Is it worth my time and are the returns great?

Hi Samuel, I always got distracted when searching for good videos and that is why I narrowed all my actions down.
It is just like searching for good blogs to comment on, you find the ones that are in your niche and connected with other ones in the same niche to make it all faster and easier.
Youtube returns all depends on your niche and how much effort you put in. It also means learning what works and what doesn’t. Just because something works for a text blog or a certain niche, it may not work on the video crowd.
YouTube also recently changes their videos ranking algorithm so this trick might help us. Thanks for sharing Sheryl.

Nice post ! the video was very useful to me and had a load of useful tips. I have been trying to launch some successful YouTube videos to promote my business for a while not but have not been able to get a lot of views. The tips here were very useful
Thanks
Hello Billy, we hope our tips will give your Youtube channel a boost.
Thank you for watching!
I tend to use video to increase on page time on our website but hand in hand with that clearly must be using it for it’s own sake.
I love youtube, I love its simplistic approach to seo etc. Just need to work on more engaging content related to our niche.
Thanks for your short video.

Hi Jon, I know many bloggers who like videos to help increase page time, I happen to like using Youtube to get people interested in going to my pages. LOL!
I have had to change video content ideas more than a few time…trial and error is my friend.
People think of Youtube as a place to watch videos but just like any of the other social networking sites there are plenty of ways to interact with other users and engage with the community. You’ll need to start befriending people within your niche, sending them private messages and complimenting them on their own videos and leaving comments wherever relevant. This is a slow process and is very similar to leaving comments on other blogs to grow blog traffic and although it takes lots of time it is highly effective.
Hi Agrodut, You are so right!
Many people want to post and go viral without doing anything else, as we know that seldom happens.
Thanks for the comment!
Hmm. . . Like Mitch I hadn’t thought of this strategy. Can you track the traffic that comes to your videos via comments?

There is no section that will tell you the clicks from any comment on other videos. You may recognize videos in the Related Videos section as ones you have comments on.
