How It Works
Since LapGear was nice enough to sponsor this giveaway, we’re going to make it about them. I’m using Rafflecopter to increase LapGear’s exposure and social reach, because, let’s be honest, we bloggers are good at that.
Participants will help promote and share this contest, LapGear and their social accounts via the Rafflecopter widget below. Set points will be given for each entry and the participant with the most points on midnight, December 31st, 2012 wins. We will announce the winner on New Year’s Day.

Contest Rules and Conditions
- LapGear only ships to the continental US and Canada. No worries, my reach goes far beyond that. Should you live outside their shipping limit, I’ll either send it myself or pay you the prize value via PayPal – the choice will be mine.
- LapGear is only providing the contest prize and is not affiliated with me, this blog or you (probably).
- You are responsible for any taxes or fees the nasty government wants to charge you. We’ll cover shipping.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. - Please play fair, cheating is not fun and will ruin your reputation and I’ll put a curse on you.
- Entrants must be legal residents of Planet Earth who are 18 years of age or older.
- Neither I, Hot Blog Tips nor the sponsor will be held responsible for error, package delivery mishaps or anything beyond our control.
- The approximate retail value of the grand prize, the LapGear Platinum Series 500 bright lap desk, is $27.99 USD.
- The winner will be notified by email on or about December 25, 2012. Failure to respond to our notices and provide a real delivery address within seven days of the contest end will void your win and you will forfeit the prize. YOU WILL NOT BE ADDED TO OUR EMAIL LIST OR NEWSLETTER BY PROVIDING YOUR EMAIL FOR THIS GIVEAWAY. You are, of course, free to subscribe on your own though.
- The winner cannot redeem the LapDesk for cash or request a substitute product. Other than your choice of color (green, pink, blue or purple), the prize is already selected. The only exception, as stated above, should Hot Blog Tips determine it’s too expensive to ship the product to the winner’s address, we will compensate the winner with the prize value of $27.99 USD via their PayPal account (PayPal account required).
- Odds of winning depend on the number of entrants that participate and their entries/points received. Figuring odds is way beyond my mathematical ability anyway. In the unlikely event more than one person achieves the winning number of points (a tie); we will use Random.org to determine the grand prize winner.
- This giveaway, as with any contest, is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- We reserve the right to change, alter or cancel any aspect of this contest, including times, deadlines, terms and prize.
- Only one prize will be awarded for this giveaway. The winner agrees to be announced on this blog and our social networks. Next year we plan to get crazy with contests.

Good news! I got a laptop desk for Christmas! I send my husband a link to your article and he purchased a laptop desk for me as a Christmas present. He got me the one with the fan, much better than resting the laptop on my lap.
