Last week YouTube announced that we can now embed a YouTube subscribe button right on our websites and blogs. This can be a powerful tool that will allow your readers to subscribe to your YouTube channel without leaving your blog. This can be especially effective if we’re embedding a lot of our own videos in blog posts where the reader has already sampled our videos. Subscription buttons include a subscriber count bubble and can help with social proof.
Adding The YouTube Subscription Button Is A Simple Matter
YouTube has setup a convenient setup page to configure the subscribe button and generate the code to embed it into our blogs.
The buttons embed nicely in our sidebar/columns using widgets. Once you have the code, simple add it where you want it.
A Couple Of Notes
Your blog visitors will be able to subscribe to your YouTube Channel directly from your blog if it’s a standard channel but paid channels link to the channel on YouTube, for obvious reasons. YouTube’s new Subscribe Buttons are now color coded; red for standard channels and green for paid channels. Our’s is free!
