A YouTube Channel Trailer is an excellent way to grab the attention of new views that visit your channel. It’s like a commercial or preview for first time visitors. You set-up a short welcome video and YouTube magically shows it to new viewers that are not already subscribed to your videos. Setting up your channel trailer is a simple matter but there a couple of steps you need to be aware of first. Sheryl Loch takes you through these simple steps in this short how-to video in less than two minutes.

I was thinking of doing something like this…but in a different way. I’m going to start working on it now. – Scott Craighead

Well, you see it’s not for me. It’s for you. – Scott Craighead
It’s definitely worth adding a channel trailer. I’ve found it increasingly difficult to gain subscribers for the past few months and having your best video featured can make a difference. It’s all about the first impressions you give to your (potential) subscribers and you need to make them stick.
I just looked up for the trailer in hotblogtips channel on youtube. I liked the way you kept it short to only 45 seconds and yet got all contributors to tell the kind of videos you do. I believe having a good trailer will give visitors more reason to subscribe.
Thanks Chang, I think the shorter the better for a trailer. We rushed that one and might record a better one soon.
